E.A.S.T. Day 1

13 Nov

My favorite East Austin Studio Tour finding today wasn’t anything for sale, *sigh*. We can all take a page from Anne Genung’s playbook though and layer chunky necklaces over a tee this fall. Hers are from near (Free People) and afar (Africa), and there’s even a J.Crew belt under there too. Pink, red, silver and gold…it all works. If heading out to E.A.S.T. this weekend and next, check out Anne’s eclectic oil paintings, ranging from color studies to constitutional portraiture to the Where’s Willie (Nelson) series.

Frosting: Spotted!

There’s no better way to strike up a conversation with a stranger whose look you admire than to compliment her. Check out Karina from Houston, a reality tv show producer, and her amazing layered necklaces. The thicker one is made of a variety of nuts, including coconut. To make/buy your own, you want to explore tagua, walnut, rainforest and acai beads too. Thanks Karina for indulging me!

To make sure you don’t miss out on future Frost Yourself profiles, let’s be friends here.
